The National University (NU) has announced the Masters Admission Result 2025. This result is for the students who applied for the Masters (Regular) program earlier this year. The online application process took place from March 18, 2025, to April 10, 2025.
Many students were eagerly waiting for this NU Masters Admission Result 2025. Getting into a Masters program at the National University is a big step. It opens doors for higher education and better career opportunities. NU is the largest public university in Bangladesh. It has many affiliated colleges spread all over the country.
The admission process does not involve an admission test. Instead, NU prepares the merit list based on students’ previous academic results. This includes results from Honours or Degree (Pass) and Preliminary to Masters courses. The selection depends on CGPA or marks obtained. The university also considers the choices given by the students during the application.
The Masters Admission Result is usually published in several steps. The first step is the publication of the 1st merit list. Selected candidates from this list need to confirm their admission. After that, NU may publish a 2nd merit list, depending on vacant seats. Results for different quotas (like freedom fighter quota) are also published. Finally, students who do not get selected in the merit lists can apply through release slips.
If you applied for the Masters (Regular) program, it is very important to check your result now. Knowing your status quickly helps you prepare for the next steps.

What to Do Next?

After submitting the online form, print a copy. You will need to submit this printed form, along with necessary academic documents and the admission fee, to the college where you got selected. The college will announce the specific dates and procedures for fee payment (often via mobile banking) and document submission. Make sure to complete these steps within the deadline set by the National University.
What if You Are Not Selected?
If you did not find your name in the first merit list, do not lose hope. National University often publishes a second merit list. Keep checking the NU admission website for updates.
Furthermore, after the merit list admissions are complete, NU will open applications for ‘Release Slips’. Students who were not selected in any merit list, or those who got selected but cancelled their admission, can apply using release slips. This gives you another chance to get admitted to a college with vacant seats. Usually, students can choose up to three colleges when applying for a release slip.
