The National University (NU) in Gazipur has opened applications for its Skill-Based Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) program for the 2025-2026 session. This is the 4th batch for the one-year (two-semester) PGD courses. This is a great opportunity for Bangladeshi students looking to enhance their skills. The NU PGD Course Admission 2025 process is entirely online.
Available PGD Courses
NU offers PGD courses in several subjects across different groups:
- Business Studies: Supply Chain Management, Digital Marketing, ICT in Accounting and Business, Tourism and Travel Management, Islamic Banking and Finance, Social Business.
- Arts: Language (English), Language (Arabic).
- Social Science: Cyber Security, Library and Information Science.
- Natural Science: Data Analytics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Who Can Apply?
- You need at least a Bachelor’s (Pass) or Bachelor’s (Honours) degree.
- Your degree must be from the National University or any UGC-recognized university in Bangladesh.
- Important: You cannot be currently enrolled in any other course at NU or any other UGC-recognized university during the same session. Providing incorrect information can lead to admission cancellation.
How to Apply Online
- Visit the Website: Go to the NU admission website: www.nu.ac.bd/admissions.
- Find the Program: Click on the ‘Master’s Tab’ and then select ‘Apply Now (Skill-based PGD Program)’.
- Fill the Form: Carefully enter your name, parents’ names, academic details, and date of birth.
- Upload Documents: You must upload scanned copies of your attested SSC, HSC, and Bachelor’s degree mark sheets.
- Upload Photo: Upload a recent passport-size color photo. The photo must be 120×150 pixels, in JPG format, and not larger than 50KB. Using someone else’s photo will cancel your application.
- Submit: Check all information and click ‘Submit Application’. You will get a Roll Number and PIN.
- Pay the Fee: Download the Pay Slip and pay the application fee of 500 Taka at any Sonali Bank branch, or pay online through the NU gateway. The fee must be paid between April 16, 2025, and May 27, 2025.
- Download Application Form: After payment, you will receive an SMS. Log in again using your Roll and PIN to download and print your primary application form. You need this form for the oral exam.
- Need to Change Info? You can cancel and resubmit your application once before paying the fee using the ‘Form Cancel/Photo Change Option’ after logging in.
Important Dates for NU PGD Course Admission 2025
- Online Application Starts: April 15, 2025.
- Online Application Ends: May 24, 2025 (Midnight).
- Application Fee Payment Ends: May 27, 2025.
- Oral Exam (Viva Voce): May 30 – May 31, 2025 (Starts 9:30 AM) at NU Academic Building, Gazipur.
- Merit List Published: June 3, 2025.
- Admission Period: June 5, 2025, to June 25, 2025.
- Classes Start: July 4, 2025, at NU Academic Building, Gazipur.
Selection Process
Your selection will depend on your academic results and an oral exam (viva voce). Marks are distributed as follows:
- SSC Result: 10 marks
- HSC Result: 10 marks
- Bachelor’s Result: 20 marks
- Oral Exam (Viva Voce): 10 marks
- Total: 50 marks
Course Fees and Location
- Application Fee: 500 Taka.
- Total Course Fee: 35,000 Taka.
- Payment Schedule: Pay in two equal installments. The first 17,500 Taka is due at admission. The second installment is due during the 1st-semester final exam form fill-up.
- Campus Location: All classes and academic activities will be held at the National University main campus in Gazipur.
